In order to get a better feel for these concepts and ideas read the “From data to decisions” article. In it, three short cases are discussed: A small hotel group, Google, and Walmart.
pick one of these and, in the appropriate thread, explain in a couple of paragraphs how (and why) the practice undertaken differs from more traditional approaches. Also identify whether or not you think that the outcome of the decision was or was not worth the cost (in terms of time and $$). What other information might be helpful to this organization in the future? (Drawing from the textbook here would be appropriate.)
